In Moultrie, Valdosta Middle's eighth-grade girls basketball team claimed the South Georgia Athletic Conference tournament on Saturday at home, defeating Colquitt County 29-19 in the final. The Lady Cats jumped out to a 9-2 lead and defeated the Lady Packers 29-19 to win the tournament championship. Valdosta dealt Colquitt County three of its five losses.
