Railroad
Valdosta Railway, L.P. (VR) began operations in 1954 as the Valdosta Southern Railroad (VSR). The railroad was owned by the paper company it served at Clyattville, GA. VSR operated until January 1992 when it was purchased from the paper company by RMC and became Valdosta Railway, L.P. VR serves 11 customers on a daily basis. Posted 2/26/2005 4:54:34 PM by Mitchell While I have not yet seen any rolling stock marked Valdosta Railroad,I have been to the diamond where it crosses the CSX, There is an interchange and have seen Norfolk Southern at this location and CSX exchanging cars.
