Greyhound Bus Station
From : At 2 p.m., people huddled in the First Baptist Church parking lot watching the Moody Air Force Base explosives dog and its handler outside the station located at 200 N. Oak St. Greyhound Bus 2353 was parked at the back corner of the station. Its cargo doors were opened, and people's bags and luggage were piled neatly for the dog to check under the watchful eyes of passengers shivering in the chilly wind across the street. Within 10 minutes, the "all clear" had come and the passengers' hour-long wait ended. The Valdosta Police Department was notified around 1 p.m. that a bus coming from Orlando, Fla., may have a bomb on board, said Lt. Brian Childress, public information officer for the VPD. He said the Jacksonville, Fla., office of the FBI received the call that the Greyhound bus bound for Valdosta had a bomb on it.
