Goodwill Store
The Goodwill, at 101 North Patterson St. in downtown Valdosta, accepts donations varying from clothing to electronics. The Goodwill is a non-profit organization that is fully supported by local donations. "The community is very active and strongly supports the Goodwill," Vickie Elder, store manager, said. The money collected by sales is distributed by the home-office in Columbus, Ga., to various programs that help the disadvantaged and disabled find employment. It also helps people come off welfare. The Goodwill accepts all forms of payments: cash, checks, and major credit cards. Also, the store has a return policy that all merchandise must be returned within three days accompanying a receipt or a store credit will be issued.
